Camel2 at Jama Masjid, New Delhi the day before the sacrifice

As affluence in India rises more and more larger animals such as bovines,  camels and increasigly horses are slaughtered to show the ‘status ‘ of the person making the sacrifice. Slaughter was symbolic and never meant to be a status parade that it has become.

Como opulencia en la India se eleva más y más animales más grandes tales como bovinos, camellos y caballos increasigly son sacrificados para mostrar el 'status' de la persona que hace el sacrificio. Masacre era simbólico y no pretende ser un desfile de estado que se ha convertido.

Even on Bakr Eid slaughter of animals other than goats or sheep is not allowed under Indian law. No slaughter is allowed other than at a slaughter house under legal procedure and an exception is provided for ritual slaughter on Eid but can only be provided for sheep & goat. Incluso en Bakr Eid masacre de animales distintos de cabras u ovejas no está permitido por la legislación india. The camel head is held and the stream of blood flowing in the courtyard can be clearly seen

The camel cries in pain and as blood gushes out

The camel cries out as its primary blood vessels are punctured with a blunt knife

Its body starts sagging as blood and life ebbs away

With most of its blood out of its body it lies dows to die

Blood keeps pouring out in quantity and for a considerable time

Finally everything stops
