gobierno holandés está entrenando a policías para hacer cumplir las
leyes que protegen a los animales domésticos, el ganado y la fauna
silvestre contra el abuso. Los oficiales se han extraído de la policía
regular, y 125 de ellos recibirán varios meses de entrenamiento en la
legislación sobre bienestar animal y la forma de aplicarla.

In 2011, the first animal police team, (Animal Cops) started to work against animal abuse and neglect. There is also a special emergency number 144, to report cases of animals in danger.
Dutch Government is training the police to reinforce the laws for the protection of pets, livestock and wildlife against abuse. Officials have been selected from current police and 125 of them will get a two months training in animal welfare legislation and its implementation.
Holland is the first country with an animal rights party in the Parliament.
